This bulb works fine as a replacement bulb in my avian lamp. The bulb is bright, full spectrum, and emits UVB 5.0, which simulates natural sunlight. Only time will tell if it lasts as long as the brand name bulbs.

I ordered this bulb to replace an older bulb that had reached the limits of its lifespan. This bulb is working great. My bird's feathers continue to look great with this new bulb and I'll catch her basking in the light. I paired the bulb with a heat bulb at one end of her cage and have just a heat bulb at the other end, so I know she's seeking out the light.The bulb was easy to install in the standard E26 bulb base.
