Thank you for offering my favorite color. Besides the awesome color, this is a very durable comforter. I've machine washed it 5 or 6 times now with no damage . The color has faded slightly, but that's expected. It's more suited for really cold nights because I do feel a bit smothered as the night progresses.

I was a little skeptical with this comforter at first simply because the title mentions "duvet insert". Now this may be able to be used as a duvet insert; however, you can use it as a standalone comforter which is what I did.My wife and I redid our bedroom recently and decided to paint our walls black. Naturally we needed to change the rest of the room to match. I picked up this comforter mostly just because it was black but I also liked the simple stitching patter on the top and how fluffy it looked. One thing to note quickly is that in the picture it looks like the bottom of the comforter is white. I think that is a sheet that is folded back because the one I received does not have white anywhere on it. It is black on the top, bottom, left, right, underneath, forwards, and backwards. The listing says it is microfiber and while I'm not a textile expert that can confirm this, I can say it is VERY soft. The softness and plushiness were the two things my wife mentioned first when putting this on the bed. After a few nights of using it I can definitely say this thing is warm. I find myself leaving an arm or shoulder out more than I used to. Where with our last comforter it was pretty much always pulled all the way up to my neck.If I have to be nitpicky the only thing I would change is making it slightly bigger. This does cover our king size bed completely, but it doesn't hang down the sides and end of the bed quite as much as we would like. Not a deal breaker though, again it covers the whole bed and we love everything else about it.

I ordered this comforter/duvet insert in "light blue aqua" for my granddaughter. We do not use a duvet cover over it. She uses it as an extra blanket under her unicorn comforter. The color is exactly as shown in the description photo. The comforter is soft and warm, but not thick. It keeps her warm in the MN winter, and will still be lightweight enough to use on its own in warmer months. The size fits her full size bed with an inch or two over the edge.

One of the uses the ad states is that this is an insert for a duvet cover. You can use it for that, but you'll have to leave it "free-floating" style, because there is are no attachments on it to secure it inside the duvet. Or, you can just use it as a comforter. I got the King size and it fits across the top of my King mattress with a few inches hanging down the sides, but not enough fabric to hang down to the floor or even half-way. Depends on what you like! It arrives vacuum sealed with a note to run it through the dryer for 20 minutes before you use it. This is supposed to help remove the mild odor (not very noticeable) and the wrinkles. It's very wrinkled and creased from the vacuum packing. The dryer doesn't take out all the wrinkles, but I'm hoping that will happen the first time I wash it (it's machine washable). I got the sage color to go with my sage and cream bedroom theme and really like the color. The comforter itself is warm, thick and pillowy with a simple, basic look.

This can be used as a stand alone comforter or as a duvet insert. It's lightweight and warm and the material is not scratchy but smooth and soft.

This duvet insert is made from a very soft, flexible, cloth fabric which is also very silky smooth to the touch. I do not think that it is silk, though I could be wrong about that. Just that it feels similiar in smoothness. So much so that if you are not careful when you step on it, you could easily slip on it. I know from personal experience while examining this item. Thankfully, I was able to catch myself. The inside stuffing is soft, squishy, and very comfortable to sleep under. It appears to me that there is not any issue with the stuffing sliding or bunching up inside, thanks to a grid of stitching all over the surface fabric, which holds the inside stuffing in place. This stitching, along with the edging seams, so far all appear to me to be well done. After using this duvet as a blanket, I can say that by itself, it is warm, though it did not cause me to overheat, thankfully. Now normally, from what I understand about duvets and their inserts, is that the inserts are supposed to have a sewn-in fabric loop at each of the four edging corners. However, at this time, I have been unable to locate any such fabric loops anywhere on the edging. I'm not sure at this time if this is simply a design choice, an oversight, or a mistake. I also did not find any other possible means of attachment on the edging. Neither did I find any zippers to suggest an accidental purchase of the cover rather than insert. This definitely looks to me like the insert but missing it's corner loops, for whatever reason. But either way, in my opinion, this is actually a fairly significant issue, due to simple physics. Without a clear and effective way to secure the insert in place within the cover, even if the sizes match between the two pieces, simple physics will eventually cause the insert to shift around with it's use over time. It would depend largely on how much tossing and turning is involved, and how frequently, but almost certainly without being secured, this insert will shift and bunch with time.Clearly, this would get annoying to need to open the cover to re-adjust the insert. Especially the more one needs to do so. I am a major toss and turner, so I plan to skip the annoyance of fighting physics, and instead will just use it as a normal comforter. I see nothing stopping it from being used this way, and no reason not to choose to use it this way. At least this item can still have some usefulness salvaged in this way. But again, maybe I'm just super lucky, and the corner loops are there for every other insert. I don't know. But due to this issue, at least for now and until or unless I solve the edging loop mystery, then I will rate this item 3 out of 5 stars. Will update if answers are found.

Soft, simple, and not too thick, this comforter is beautiful. I love the dark purple color. I washed in cold water on delicate before using and had no noticeable issues with fading. Beautiful comforter!

I purchased this for my college dorm, and overall, I am really pleased with my purchase! The comforter is incredibly soft and cozy and works great since it's freezing at night where I live. The material feels gentle against the skin, and it's the perfect weight – not too heavy, but definitely warm enough. I’ve been using it for two years now, and I have had no rips or tears so it is really durable, and it keeps me comfortably warm without feeling suffocating, which was always a problem for me and I hate super heavy blankets and comforters. Its size is perfect for my bed, and the comforter fits well without being too bulky. It drapes nicely over the mattress, and I haven't had any issues with it bunching up or being too small. The gray colour is exactly what I was expecting. It's a neutral tone that goes well with almost any room decor, and it’s perfect for dorm rooms where you don’t want anything too bright or loud.Overall, I would recommend this comforter for anyone looking for a solid, affordable option for their dorm room. It’s functional, looks great, and does the job, but it’s not the fluffiest or warmest comforter out there. A great buy if you’re on a budget but still want something stylish and practical! Hope this helps (:
