Needed a new brake caliper bracket bolt or my 2003 Impala 3800 and rolled the dice on Dorman. This is better and less exspensive than the GM Bolts.1. Its rated at 10.9 just like OEM bolt. Same 14 x 40 x 2 mm size.2. The hex head is 18mm rather than 15 mm on the GM bolts. When you are torqueing to 133 ft-lbs thats a much better head size to have to save on damage to the hex head rom torquing or repeated torquing of the bolts due to other suspension or wheel jobs.3 The flange below the head is also much bigger than the OEM bolt so it provides alot more area to maintain contact and prevent loosening the bolt or caliper bracket.4. It has a nice amount of threadlocker on it.5. 2 to a pack so I replace both the damaged one and the okay one as this was so nice.Gonna get another pack and replace the bolts on the other front wheel. There are some Dorman Parts I'd probably not use but this part like many others are real gems. Get it!

Installed perfectly. Note that bolt head is larger than the OEM for my 2002 Impala LS (3.8L VIN K). Bolt body is the same diameter and thread pitch. As I understand it, GM beefed up the bold head at some point and part numbers have been consolidated across all the model years that used these brake bracket bolts. The red is *not* the permanent Loctite "red", but it is a thread locking compound of some type. I believe even the GM OEM have this red stuff on them.Pay attention to torque specs when putting them in! The front caliper bracket torque specs are significantly higher than the rear bracket specs. It will not only keep them from backing out, it also helps with removing them if necessary during future brake work. Over-torquing them could cause failure at some time in the future, but the most likely effect is making it much more difficult to remove them in the future. I won't give my torque specs here as these bolts are used in numerous applications and the specs may not be the same in a different one. Torque specs are readily available online with a little searching.

Somehow a bolt was missing from the front caliper. Not sure if me or the shop forgot to install on the recent brake job. The new bolt (s) have lock-tight thread compound to help prevent it ever backing out again. Highly recommend for the price and shipping cost versus other options.

Amazon states these bolts wouldn't fit on my Silverado yet they do. Perfect replacement for the front brake bolts (knuckle to bracket).Size: 14mm threaded bolt width x about 40mm threaded length x 2mm thread pitch. 18mm bolt head.Grade 10.9/corrosion resistant.
