This is a pretty simple tool. I used this to align the clutch on my 1989 4Runner with a 3.4 5VZE swap. It worked perfect. No issues at all.

splines match up nicely , but most clutch kits should come with one of these , so if you are getting a kit make sure before purchasing another.
