2012 Jeep Compass latitude - After careful troubleshooting, the gas cap message and check engine light kept going on, after some research, I found this part was usually the cause for the issue, I replaced the gas cap 2x before realizing my issue was much more deeper.The sensor arrived and it was an exact match and came along with a seal ring. To remove the old one, no jack or lift was needed, I just went under the rear of car and removed the rubber hose attached, I released the sensor tab, and then turned the Evaporator clock wise to release it. I then removed the seal ring, cleaned a bit, then placed new seal, installed new unit counter clock wise, and it clicked right in, attached sensor and hose, done!It was a very simple and quick repair (10 min), I drove the car over 600 miles and that dreaded Gas Cap message hasn’t returned.

I was chasing down Evap codes on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler, and was able to clear my "small evap leak" code with this after trying the gas cap. Didn't seem to leak, and seemed like it was solidly made.

This item like any other Dorman product I have purchased has OEM fit and finish. It seems to have cured my p0456 code on my 2011 Grand Caravan but time will tell. I suppose you could replace it without jacking the vehicle up and removing the LH rear tire but it was much easier doing that. Make sure to support the vehicle on a jack stand or similar support though prior to going under the vehicle. It too longer to take the wheel off than do the actual replacement of the device. I would buy this again but at 275000KM on the first one I don't plan on replacing it again

Had EVAP leak so replaced EVAP pump. The installation was quite easy and error code P0456 went away.
