I was chasing a cooling system issue in my parents 2012 Cruze. It had a light coolant leak that I couldn't track. It also had old hoses etc.Every repair I made seemed to move the leak to another place.In the end, after replacing all the coolant hoses and water pump, there was still an issue I couldn't track. So I tried a new reservoir cap.When I installed this cap, I learned two things.The first thing I learned, was that the old reservoir cap was bad.The second thing I learned was that the reservoir tank was weak. It sprung a leak two days after I replaced the cap.So, this cap does work and my parents Cruze basically has a new cooling system as only the radiator and heater core are original now.Hopefully you won't have to replace as many parts as I did.

I bought this because I recently learned that all radiator caps lose their seal and pressure after 50,000 miles or so. That can cause problems and you may have a costly repair because the mechanic doesn’t test the cap and instead wants you to do some other (expensive) fix.Just replace this occasionally and keep your system at the right pressure. I wish I read the other one-star reviews. This thing didn't last long at all. After checking my engine coolant levels the top of this thing came off. Now I'll have to find some way to get the other part that's still screwed in my coolant reservoir out...

Compre el tapon despues de revisar que era el correcto para mi vehiculo. pesima calidad, el plastico era malisimo y la porqueria se rompio en dos, la parte de abajo quedo enroscada en en tanque del anticogelante. una verdadera porqueria.
