The old throttle return springs broke, these were perfect match and fit for a 1983 El Camino Conquista 5.0L AT with a CCC Quadrajet E4ME.

In all fairness I was using these externally to hold braided steel brake lines up against the frame when our lifted Jeeps were on level ground, but when exposed to the elements these will rust fairly quickly (about two months in FL, no road salt or beach time or anything similarly harsh). But they work so I ordered more and will paint them.

Works like a charm! Old springs lost their effectiveness, throttle would stick. Replaced with stiffer springs, got rid of the throttle sticking, but had a hard peddle. These return my peddle to a comfortable feel and no throttle sticking. Would definitely recommend this item!!!

It's ok...made my pedal stiff off the stop so you have to get use to it so you don't end up riding the clutch or sounding like you don't know how to drive a stick
