It was a direct replacement for my old unit. My old unit had a bad display and this fixed the issue.

Pulled mine out and this went in very easy... worked great... after about an hour or so the the blue led cold button on bottom right went out... everything still worked but the led went out... wouldn't send a replacement but did make it right eventually... made no sense why they couldn't just send a replacement...

Exact replacement part (Dorman 599-138) for 2007 GMC Yukon DENALI. Pleased that new unit is labeled REAR in place of AUX. Quality item, well packaged and came quickly, easy to install. Hard part is removing trim (patience, gentleness with firmness and a prayer!) then remove 4 - 7mm screws; 2 for bottom power receptacles and 2 for climate control unit. Started at lower left side with two trim tools. Easier to do from passenger side. Recommended!

Air wouldn't blow from the correct vents--dash or feet settings. We would normally only get air out the defrost vents with only minimal airflow elsewhere. All is good now!
