take off front passenger tire, only to 8mm bolts and wire clip hold it in place. took less then 30 minutes to replace in 02 gmc envoy slt. on a lift with impact tools this will take less then 10 minutes, only issue I had was the shop that did my tires last over tightened the lugs, actually bent my tire iron taking them off....wow glad I didn't snap a lug. part was great 4x4 works perfect again in all settings. would recommend to anyone. fyi the part was cheaper then it would have been to get a diagnostic in a shop so I would start with this actuator as long as lights still flash when trying to change to 4x4 , if no lights then try the tccm ($35-50 used off ebay so it is already flashed and you don't need a stealer ship to flash it)

The same part you would buy at a parts store at around half the price. Perfect fit and my wife couldn't be happier. She has her 4 wheel drive back.

It works as long as the vehicle is moving. Will not engage if stationary.

Easy replacement, exact fit. Took less than 1/2 hour to remove old part and install new part.

My truck didn't go into 4WD until I replaced this. Then it did. Works as expected. Hard to tell how long it will last, but hopefully it lasts as long as the OEM one (replaced at 213k miles)

So far I am happy with this part. Glad that this part is what need to be replaced. I did a drive test. There was no slamming in and out of 4 wheeler drive in 4 high or 4 low. I am happy. The big test will be this winter. I recommend this part for 06 GMC Envoy.
