After reading the reviews on this item I decided to take a chance and purchase it anyway since the variety of wiper transmission linkage manufacturers for a 2005 Ford E-150 is somewhat limited. This manufacturer seems to be the largest and all the auto parts stores in my area sell this very same linkage. I was prepared to tap the holes if required but upon taking out the old screws (with an impact driver) I immediately saw that they were self tapping threads so no tapping was necessary. I positioned the new part where it was supposed to go and sprayed a little lubricant on the screws and drove them in with my impact driver (have to have an impact driver) being careful not to over tighten them and snapping them off. Worked perfectly! Putting the motor pin into the spring clip was considerably more difficult. This pin pushes down into the bushing with the clip on it and is supposed to clip around the groove in the shaft once you have it fully inserted. You do not remove the clip. The shaft just pushes into it. I did this by sanding the rust off the beveled part of the pin and getting it really clean and placing a couple of wood blocks under the linkage to hold it up while I pushed the pin into the bushing. The motor needs to be pretty much in its final bolted position when you do this. This is not an easy process and will take some time until you get it in just the right position. Contrary to the trouble I've seen that some people have had, my wiper arms fit on to the wiper shafts just perfectly and the throw and radius of the wiper was identical to the factory part that was in there. I'm a carpenter and not a mechanic by a long shot but I was able to install this part and it worked exactly as it was designed to work and I wanted people who read reviews to know that it is possible to install this part as it was designed and it will work just fine (at least on a 2005 Ford E-150). There may be a better method but this is what worked for me.

Poor Fitment on the manufactures part. Excellent Fast customer service to resolve the issue!

Holes in tower brackets were pre drilled but not threaded. Doesn't come with new mounting bolts. I had to use the old ones and one broke. Would have been an easier installation if it had new screws and threaded holes. The new clip that is on the arm where it connects to the motor was also defective. It wouldn't click in so I had to use the old clip.

Like, it fit. Dislike it had no treads in the hold to mount the bracket. What a disappointment

Bought for my 1997 Ford E-150 Econoline Van. Worked like a charm. I don't think there is as much "travel" of the wipers as with the OEM, but, hey...I have working wipers again for a great price. P.S. I am a car idiot..even I could do this. You can too.

Product I think is built better than what was there. The old ones the wiper holder was plastic and one a piece had broke off. This product the holder was metal but no threads. I used a 1/4 tap and worked perfect.
