I purchased this to replace the drain plug on my Jeep TJ. It is an exact match to the origional however the rubber gasket was too large. I had not realized this for quite some time. I put the plug in and tightened it down and everything seemed to be just fine. A month or more goes by and i realize I am low on coolant. It took me a while to figure out the gasket was not fitting properly in the drain. Quite a bit of trial and error with why only under normal operating pressure did it leak from the drain. I trimmed the gasket and problem solved!

I removed the plastic piece that remains in the radiator when you remove the old plug. Don’t leave that old piece in there. New one comes with that other piece so it’s the plug and the piece that pops into the radiator that the plug screws into. I Kaye’s under front passenger side and was able to look into where the plug goes in. I used a small flat head and bent one side in a bit to grab it with a needle nose to remove it and it popped right out. Then I removed the new plug from box n partially unscrewed the new plug from that other piece and pushed it into the radiator then finished screwing the new plug in. I kept both pieces together when I installed it. Makes it easier. It screwed in and snugged up no prob. Other reviews said they had to modify the gasket but I didn’t. Nice n tight. No leaks. I drained coolant directly into 5 gallon bucket and re used it since it was new. Good luck

Direct fit for OEM drain plug. Like other reviewers have noted, the gasket is too big on a 2006 Rubicon. You'll have to either trim the new one or re-use the old one.

Bought this to replace a worn out drain plug on a 94 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9L V6 , it was slightly larger than the one I removed. In my instance there was no need to trim the gasket down as some other reviews have mentioned. So far there's no leaks and the truck has seen at least 2 - 4 30 minute runtime trips without incident. Whereas the old plug started coming out on its own after a couple trips.

Did not fit a 1995 Jeep Wrangler (YJ). It is too short and does not screw in correctly.

Works just fine in a 2002 Jeep Wrangler X. Be careful not to over tighten though. I originally thought the threads were stripped on my OEM plug since it would get loose overtime, but in actuality it had split. Luckily I had a spare when it completely failed. If I had known how easy it was to replace I would have replaced it long ago all you need is needle nose pliers. Will be carrying a spare from now on just in case not a huge fan of this flimsy plastic but hopefully it lasts.

had to trim the leading edge to make it go into radiator. Not very much just enough to get it started. After that, it sealed perfectly. no more radiator leak.Fit my 95 wrangler 4 cylinder with very small modification. (a file and 10 seconds of filing on each side.)

Worked as expected. It's a little smaller and thinner than the original drain cock, but it did actually fit. I just hate the whole design in general. If I didn't want to burn $400 on a new custom all aluminum radiator I wouldn't bother with this, but the original was leaking at this is just a few $ part... The reality is no drain cock should be made out of cheap plastic when it's going to be used in an environment like a RADIATOR where it's constantly alternating between extreme heat and then cold every vehicle use. Just a recipe for disaster. Stupid oh-geebus-chrysler engineers and their plasti-crap radiators.
