I snapped the end off of my original heater hose when replacing fuel injectors on my 2007 F150 5.4L. Ford has a terrible design with this hose by using a plastic connector at the firewall. Getting the old end off was a bear. I ended up using a Dremel cutoff tool with the flex shaft to CAREFULLY cut the old broken connector off. This Dorman hose uses the exact same connection, unfortunately, but at least it's new and easy to work with. Getting it pushed back onto the aluminum barb at the firewall required a little effort but I used a very thin coat of silicone grease to help it out. I REALLY wish they just used a plain hose and hose clamp.The other end clamps to the water outlet on the engine. The clamp comes stuck open and, once it's seated around the metal housing, you remove the piece holding it apart and it closes down.Overall this product looks and feels like the factory part. I won't deduct stars because of Ford's bad design. But thankfully Dorman is there to provide factory equivalent replacement parts at a good price.
