Purchased this to resolve a P0234 code on a 2013 Ford Escape. Old solenoid would not open the blowoff valve creating too much pressure. Now you can hear the blowoff valve open!

My original package arrived damaged with the item broken; however, they shipped a new part overnight and I got it the next day. Dorman will always have a positive image in my book!EDIT: they still do have fantastic service; however, my turbo charger was having severe boost issues. I removed this product and replaced it with an OEM part and the problem was resolved.

I had purchased another brand of boost solenoid but that one didn't come with tubing so you had to remove the tubing from the original OEM solenoid. Apparently, I broke one of the tubes that had a metal part in it and then it didn't connect to the solenoid so my problem persisted.I purchased this one and was able to just pull off the old (new) one and put the Dorman part in with the tubing attached and the car has been working just fine!I don't know if the other part would have worked or not because the tubing wasn't secured....so I guess it could have worked but having to take the tubes off (especially the one with metal on it) versus just doing a plug and play, was worth the extra $40 I had to spend.

The install for this requires the wheel come off to reach it, so fairly time consuming (especially not fun in winter.)After install, and after clearing the check engine light, problem reappeared within a couple of days. OEM part is about $230, many sites will tell you the OEM is required for this fix. Wish I'd seen that info first time round. Beware.

Solved my issue with the overboost issue on my 13 fusion 1.6 ecoboost. I've used alot of Dorman parts in the past and have had good luck with them.

Solved the underboost engine light code on 13 Escape 1.6LDorman makes a quality product...been using them many years and never been disappointed.

This part is a fraction of the price of the dealer part. It fit identically as the OE part. The only problem was one spring clamp was too large to secure the hose. I just reused one from the OE part and my car no longer sets the check engine light
