The unit I received was black plastic, rather than clear- but not an issue. Being an aftermarket, rather than OEM replacement, there was some slight figment issues. Overall, it fit correctly, but I did have to do a little filing on the stock switch connector, that plugged into the motor and that the wiring harness plugged into. Nothing major- just a little persuading. Once installed, it worked like a charm! WARNING: when you remove the original drive nut from the pulldown shaft, to replace it with the new one, make sure to count the number of turns needed to remove it and install the new one with the same number of turns.

The gears on my original unit broke. I tried a rebuild kit that I got else where. Paid more money for it just to find out the motor wasn't strong enough to pull the hatch down. Bought this. It was so much simpler to install and works fantastic. Just save yourself the time and money over the rebuild kit.

Motor and housing worked perfectly. Only complaint is that the plastic gear that came with it was not threaded correctly and would not spin easily onto shaft. I had to use my old plastic gear. Good thing it was still in good condition.

The housing cracked and broke on my pull down motor for my 2010 chevy corvette grand sport. It wasn't pulling down the tonneau cover when bringing down the Convertible top.So I took a chance of ordering this even though it states it doesn't fit my 2010 grand sport. Well I received the product. The only thing different is the housing is black plastic and not clear plastic. I didn't care cause this was a perfect fit and easy to install.I definitely recommend this if your in search for a pull down motor for your Convertible top.

Nice motor, and works just fine. The three stars is due to having to modify the clear plastic piece in order to attach it to the OEM pull down. The small plastic numb in the corner had to be chipped out in order for the lift gear to sit flush in worm gear pocket. Unit functions as it should, but if it is going to be marketed as an OEM replacement, no modification should be necessary.

Old motor stopped working, I took everything apart and discovered the teeth were ground down and the casing was cracked. So I ordered this kit which came with both.Everything fit perfectly and now my trunk motor works again. This job takes some experience and there's no instructions. I'm a mechanic so I was fine, took about an hour to do the whole job. The plastic seems kind of cheap and brittle.. so just be very careful screwing everything into it. The kit doesn't come with any grease, I recommend putting some in there.

Motor works great some instructions would have been nice on the proper height of the screw gear.If the reverse gear is not centred it will destroy the plastic case and could also damage the screw gear. I got it right the second time after orderingthe new plastic again.Thanks for a great product MConway

Yes it worked but I had to figure it out to install in a trans am it came with a different shaft & Plate but i just had to switch with my shaft and all is good, no instructions at allHappy Cruzin
