The original equipment window regulator on certain Chrysler and Dodge minivans and Ram pickup trucks can fail when the cable stresses over time, eventually binding up on the reels. When that happens, the window can fall down into the vehicle door or become stuck in position. This Dorman OE FIX replacement features added cable guides and sheathing to counteract cable elongation and resist reel binding, resulting in a better, longer-lasting repair. The upgraded assembly design, engineered for a perfect, front-left side fit, has been rigorously tested in our expansive and sophisticated regulator laboratory facility dedicated to continuously ensuring that Dorman designs perform and last under the toughest conditions. Increase customer satisfaction and decrease customer comebacks by replacing the entire assembly at once, eliminating the costly trial-and-error guesswork of determining whether the cause of a malfunctioning regulator assembly is the regulator itself or the motor. Like all Dorman window regulators and assemblies, this precision-engineered and manufactured direct replacement is designed to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, has been cycle-tested thousands of times in an actual door for reliability, and vehicle try-on tested to ensure an exact fit with simple plug-and-play installation. This part is compatible with the following vehicles. Before purchasing, enter your vehicle trim in the garage tool to confirm fitment. [Chrysler Town & Country: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016] - [Dodge Grand Caravan: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020] - [Ram C/V: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015]

I bought this window regulator to replace a broken regulator on my van. At the time my van had 168,000 miles on it with the factory regulator. This regulator only lasted less than six months and less than 6,000 miles. JUNK, ANOTHER BRAND!

This Dorman window regulator is of great quality. It is very sturdy and I expect it to last a long time. Last time I replaced my window regulator, I tried to save money and went for a cheaper brand. From the start my window gave an ear-piercing squeak whenever I rolled it up. I knew it probably wouldn't last long. Two years later (last month) I knew I had to go with a reputable brand since I didn't want to go through the long process of installing the part in my door any time soon. Go with Dorman! My window rolls up quietly, smoothly and more rapidly than before.

When my car's windows stopped working, I decided to replace the system myself so as not to spend around $500 on labor.I found this product through YouTube links and decided to give it a try. And it worked well, except for the motor, which didn't live up to expectations.Since in my case, the old motor was working, I decided to keep it and just replace the metal structure. It worked perfectly.

I have long been a DIYer and avid fixer of all of my own vehicles, as I love learning new things and I enjoy working with my hands. Recently, my latest DIY has been replacing the power window regulator and motor from the driver’s side of my 2012 Chrysler Town and Country. The first time the regulator was replaced was by a mechanic in April 2019; the factory installed regulator lasted from December 2013 until then. The replacement regulator and motor were a Dorman 748-508. The mechanic replaced the motor as well out of precaution, which I agreed with. The first Dorman 748-508 lasted from April 2019 to October 2019, when shortly after arriving in South Korea the cable snapped again. I ordered a replacement (second) Dorman 748-508 in October 2019, received it in November 2019, and installed it and it lasted until October 2020. Due to the repeat of the failing regulator, I decided to order two in October 2020 and received them in late October 2020. The third Dorman 748-508 regulator lasted from October 2020 through December 2020 until the cable snapped again.I took the fourth Dorman 748-508 to a Chrysler service center in Daegu, South Korea and had them install it for me, thinking I may have been mistaken in the way I was replacing the parts and putting the whole thing back together. The fourth Dorman 748-508 lasted from December 2020 through late January 2021 when the cable snapped again. I ordered another replacement, a fifth Dorman 748-508 regulator and motor assembly on 29 January 2021 and installed it in February 2021. The fifth Dorman 748-508 lasted from then until today, 7 April 2021. My van was taken straight to a small business mechanic immediately after the now familiar pop of a breaking cable was heard, and the mechanic confirmed the regulator cable had failed again, and nothing in the door assembly was anywhere near a position to affect the safe operation of the regulator.I will not be ordering another Dorman product for the foreseeable future, and I will be sticking to only ordering Mopar replacement (factory) parts instead.

This was not fun to install but it works well. The product itself is great and was reasonably priced.

I will have to see how long it last. This is the 3rd window regulator that's been in my dad town &counrty van. Original lasted the longest. Insalatuation went pretty smooth and the product fit has it should.

I’d like to give full stars but ‘easy to install’ I couldn’t - not because of the product itself - but because these are never easy to install.Arrived early and was exactly what I ordered.Thank you!!
