Easy fix for a slow fuel leak and loss of prime for a 2000 6.6 Duramax. found hairline crack in the OEM part. this cured it ... Finally.

Had to go back and use the old one, out of the box it was alerting that there was water in the diesel after the separator. Tested both it and the old one, this one was in a constant detected state.

This was a perfect match to my original on my 2009 Silverado. Fair price and worked without any reset.

The sensor worked for all of one day then gave a false positive on water in the fuel. Changed the fuel filter, even tried with sensor removed from filter - the only way to stop the false reading is to disconnect the wiring harness. Also the unit is incompatible with the accompanying wrench sold by Amazon. Will be returning this item but lost 2 hours of my life on it.

If you don’t use it as soon as possible return window will close and it’s a waste. I purchased 2 for my shop, don’t need them very often. Used one Wednesday, customer returned with dash light on replaced with the second one from purchase and light went out. Return of faulty one is not possible. Return window closed. One sensor cost me $53. Dollars, will not purchase again.

Amazon sold it with the wrong wrench.(you know how they do the combo thing at the bottom of item description) The wrench DOES FIT the original GM part so I was able to take the old one off. But to reinstall the new DORMAN, takes a different tool. Come on Amazon, you can do better!
