The short of it, these parts worked fine for me. The gaskets were accurately cut for the passages and bolt holes. The o-rings were a very tight fit. I'm hoping that means they will seal great for a long time. The OEM o-rings were installed in 2001 and the truck has 360,000+ miles on it. That's a good run. Time will tell how long they last. Mostly I just don't want to have to do this job again, ever. This job sucks to do. Before you attempt it, at least ask a reputable shop what they would charge to do this for you. If they want more than $200 for the labor, or you can't afford their price, or can't find a good shop, at least have a friend with you when you do this. By yourself is a terrible option. The front cooler head is in a very difficult spot to get to. Remember you have to clean off the old gasket from the block once you get the cooler heads off. That's only part of the misery.Reassembling the cooler heads over the new o-rings is a bit of a bear. A plastic/rubber coated dead blow hammer and a ratchet strap will help. Get them started on each end, and use the ratchet strap to keep them in compression. Now start beating. Don't worry too much about lining everything up perfectly during reassembly. It takes some effort but you can rotate the heads to get everything to line up. Now all you have to do is reinstall the cooler. It has never taken me 2 hours to get 5 small bolts started on anything until I tried to do this by myself. Eventually my dad was able to help me after he got home from work. I had been at starting those 5 bolts for 99 minutes and only had one in the year started. He helped me get one in the front started and it went pretty quick after that.A big help is to glue the new gaskets to the cooler heads. With some really good glue. I used spray glue, and of course the front gasket came loose. It is not in a good clean spot. Filth will get on your gasket surface and not be easy to clean up. Best of luck if you're doing this on your own.

This is by faster the messiest job I've ever done. Initially the oil filter headed gasket didn't go on evenly as I tourqued it down, I didn't think too much about it just figured it would line up. It was leaking coolant and looked to be a little oil. Down the filter. I did the warranty return, and amazon sent me a whole nother kit free shipping free return label. However I couldn't wait so I went to AutoZone got another kit for $8. (Felpro) I would not have done this, but their header gaskets are made in the USA. The o rings for that kit are not. Since I only needed oil filter header gasket I did it. No leaks. The doorman gasket had came apart on the port where the block heater goes. I'm sure it was my fault. By the time I got the new doorman set I just replace my faulty gasket with the good one and sent it back. Now that's great service!

used this kit 3-maybe 4 different trucks 01 & 02s no problems --used vaseline on o-rings for a lube to help slide on-not a terriblle job-2 men really helps-- drain radiator & take off bottom hose ,strap it up & out of the way-- take off oil filter -reuse it or do your oil change at same time take out 4 bolts 10 mm ? be cautious one truck had a deteriated bolt probably rusted 1/3 thru , it did not twist off thankfully!!bought new replacements from ford .some commented ford parts were less $$$ -- these were approx. 1/2 of my ford dealer$$ & that included shipping to my door . i'm all about buy u.s. but when the stealerships sell made in mexico and still charging u.s.$$ I feel less bad -just saying-

This kit supplied everything needed to do the repair. You will need some Vaseline to lube the O rings to make assembly easier. Truck doesn't leak oil anymore, a big plus. Saved a ton of $$ compared to the Stealership!

I saw some oil dripping when my truck was at idle, looked underneath and noticed my oil cooler was all slimy and oily.I bought this kit, pulled the truck into the shop and pulled out the old o-rings which where brittle and broke off and installed the new ones. The front gasket was a pain to get on but no more leaks so I'm happy. Make sure to lube them good or you'll sever the o-rings when trying to reassemble it (like I did, had to reuse one of the old ones). So far, no more leaks.

Top quality o-rings and gaskets. Stoped my oil from leaking into the coolant on my 1996 ford 7.3 it took about 3-4 hours todo. Make sure you check to make sure theres no oring stuck back in the front assembly. And also apply assembly lube to the o rings. Took care of my problem and it was here the next day! Couldnt be more stoked!
