I've used dorman products in other vehicles without issue. In fact their customer service helped me immensely on an intake manifold on my f150. But this thing died after 3 weeks, of course when it was 15 degrees outside and I had just put 5 gallons of def fluid in the tank when i replaced it.Original died at 120k miles with a P20BA code. This thing was fine for 3 weeks and then threw a persistent P20BB code which also cuts the trucks power and eventually will go into limp mode.Sure it has a warranty, but who wants to drop the full def tank after 3 weeks and gamble on another one doing same thing. Do yourself a favor with electronics and buy a bosch or motorcraft, (bosch is OEM manufacturer for motorcraft). You can find bosch for around same price but the motorcraft is twice that.

So far, this was a great deal.P205C code on my F250 for Reductant (DEF) temperature sensor NG. After many resets/returns I determined it had to be fixed with winter on the doorstep. Ford has extended the warranty on this part, but I am outside the extended warranty window. Good videos on YouTube for how to replace and didn’t look too difficult for someone who knows their way around cars.This Doorman unit was priced considerably cheaper than the Ford OEM unit. Install was about 3-4hrs bc I was learning as I went, not bc it was that hard of a job. Tip- run the DEF tank as low as you can before changing this out because a full DEf tank is HEAVY! Once you get the tank dropped, the changeout is straightforward.After install I cleared codes with FORScan and the light has stayed off for two weeks now. No discernible difference between this Doorman part and the factory parts that were removed/replaced. The kit comes with everything (zip ties, o-rings,etc) that you need for the change-out.Going this route saved me a lot of $. We will see how durability is - if it takes a dump I will definitely update this review..

Install was ok but performance not too good. Was expecting better performance from Dorman compared to all the other copy cats but disappointed unit is throwing a malfunction code after a year, approximately 7 thousand miles of use. 2011 F350. Only filled def tank with 7.5 gal in one year with Peak def fluid platinum. Now I’m stuck with check engine light. Probably no other warranty offered, will have to check with Dorman if they stand by their product. It cost more to replace it than to buy it, you would think they would give u a replacement no questions asked and u eat the labor costs and inconvenience time.

Looks like a good product. But only lasted about 300 miles. 3 weeks after install. Same thing not working again. Pay the extra and get Motorcraft.

Lasted only two months before truck popped a code for the temperature sensor in the def tank heater. I had purchased this to install when I had time, the warranty was done by the time I had it installed.

Ordered this and installed. Worked great. One day after return window closed, check engine light back on and diagnosed as faulty exhaust fluid heater. Sent a message to seller, left a voicemail, no response. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
