Once I got in, the old bushings didn't look to bad but I put these in anyway. The shifter was a bit tighter but it didn't solve the sloppy issue and I think I'll be changing the shift cable too.

The ship two bushings were exactly what I needed. Fix my problem a little difficult to do you have to take your time, but they are exact fit and the correct part and it worked great.

Now that these truck are getting older and finding the best parts to fit like factory is pretty hard.When the shift started becoming loose and add problems in starting the vehicle.This solved all my problems in the shifter and problems starting. Just remember to tighten then bolts on the back of the shifter.

While I am generally not a huge Dorman fan, these shift tube bushings were just the thing to bring back crisp operation of the column shifter on my 2000 Ford Explorer. Installation is not overly intuitive, but it is very easy to do in about 40 minutes after watching a few online videos that outline the procedure.I'm very happy with how this inexpensive and relatively easy to install part tightened up the movement of my shift lever and makes it easier to move the vehicle out of park. I'd definitely recommend this product to a friend or family member.

Perfect solution for a sloppy Ford shifter/shift indicator. Tip: take the extra time to remove the instrument bezel and “trim†the black plastic above the mount for easy access to the mount closer to the firewall.

These bushings just completely breakdown over time. If the shift lever is sloppy and gear position indicator is not lining up, these need to be replaced.
