Worked great, perfect fit and solved my check engine light for a 2001 Ford Escape V6 XLT. This is located in front of the rear drivers tire, inside a black plastic box. My screws were very rusted and would of required drilling out to remove. Instead, I just took some snips and cut the corner off so I could bend the plastic enough to reach in and pull the old one out. Then a self tapping screw to hold the cover back in place. 2 months and several tanks of driving, still no CEL!

This, along with replacing the wiring harness plug, solved my check engine light. The metal body of the valve looks like cheap Chinese metal, so not expecting it to last long before it starts to rust out. Working as expected at this point, so not disappointed in my purchase.

The Dorman Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid turned off the CEL (check engine light) which tells me everything must be working at factory specs. My Vent Solenoid is located above the spare tire (under the bed) in a light truck. Once I got to it, the swap out was easy.

What can I say, it did what it was supposed to do. What that is, I have no clue. It looks just like the old one, minus the cakes on rust from years of salt in the winter!

The old one was responsible for my engine light being on, evaporative system code, pump replaced with negative terminal disconnected from the battery, reconnected erased the codes, start the truck engine light is off ever since.
