CONS: This item didn't exactly fit perfectly. The hose connections were so tight, it took a LOT of force to get the hoses onto the new fittings. I also had to slightly bend the prongs on the existing electrical plug to get them to fit into the new receptacle.PROS: It solved the "small leak" problem I was having (code P0456).UPDATE: after 9 days my engine light came back on . Same problem.

I ordered this Purge Valve for an older model Pontiac Sunfire 2002 that I was fixing up, the car only has 60,000 original miles on it and no rust. The check engine light kept coming on, had replaced several parts and finally realized by trial and error that I possibly needed to replace the Purge Valve which I did quite easily within a few minutes with no problems. Once I drove the car around and put a few miles on it the check engine light went OFF ! This part was the issue and it only cost a few bucks, well worth the cost.A great value and the part is as good or better than I could have bought at any specialty auto parts store.

I have used other Dorman parts with decent success. They often have unique products and fill a niche in the aftermarket, especially with their "HELP" line of products.I was disappointed in this product. The fit and finish seemed fine but it failed in a week, about 1000 miles for me. So it was about 3 tanks of fuel later on the 5.7 Hemi Aspen. I used a genuine Mopar this time and am 2 weeks on the Mopar and still going.Other Dorman parts have done well for me but I am hesitant to use another electro-mechanical part, especially if it were a difficult replacement.
