This solenoid is the evap purge valve on my 2001 Toyota. The original part worked fine until 2021 when the mounting bracket broke off. I needed a quick replacement, and purchased this part. It was affordable and available. The part worked when installed. Just about two months later, may car started exhibiting problems, including intermittent stalling at idle at stop signs and then not being able to restart while stuck in the middle of traffic, that did not trigger DST codes, and I invested a lot of time and effort in diagnosing the problem. It was this evap purge valve that had failed (the solenoid did not move when current was applied). I replaced it with a dealer part, and hopefully I will get another twenty years out of that part. This part was inexpensive, but a bad value because I squandered a lot of time and effort tracking it down when it failed. My advice would be to purchase the dealer part and not consider this aftermarket replacement--two months vs 20 years......

Perfect replacement, easy to install and a lot cheaper than at the auto parts store.
