Works just like the original one on my jeep. Originals OEM are damaged by the heat of incandescent lamps. I'm replacing all of mine with LEDS so should no longer have heat or battery drain issues. LEDS are normally brighter too. These sockets went right in taillight assembly and made contact!

I have a 1999 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo and this works perfectly my lights were out but the bulb was functioning. My old car just eventually burned through the holder. Fits and works no complaints and shipping as always fast
