This part fit perfectly and was easy to replace. The Jeep ran so much better and it completely cured my erratic idle/throttle problem.

2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ SportMy truck had the same exact symptoms every one else described in these reviews. I bought one of the less than $10 sensors here, while it stopped the bucking, the truck just ran poorly and started having shifting issues. I just installed the Dorman one and all of that went away, immediately. Why a band-aid? Well, because it is well known that old Jeeps like their Mopar sensors. It will be a matter of time before this one goes too, but since I can't afford a Mopar TPS at the moment, it will have to do for now.A quick tip for anyone not familiar with Jeeps and their sensors, always reset the ECU by removing the negative battery terminal from the battery for a couple of minutes. These are old trucks and a little slow on the uptake and need a slap in the back of the head every so often. You may install a sensor and it runs like crap on first start because you didn't reset the ECU. Once you do, everything should be right in the world and there will be peace in the Middle East.

I don’t usually like to order electronic parts online but could not find this particular one anywhere at the time and here it was. Got it installed and it worked just as it should.
