I lost track of how many vegetable steamers my family has used and broken over the years. Folding metal ones, plastic ones...they all fell apart. But this design is fantastic! It is sturdy and has a large capacity. It is easy to clean, as well. Also, I absolutely love that it comes with a double boiler, too. I've used that insert several times and it has worked well to melt chocolate in order to make chocolate covered strawberries, pretzels, and cashews.Two drawbacks--it is heavy, so it may not be the best choice for a person with hand, wrist, or arm problems. Secondly, it's bulky, so it takes up a decent amount of storage space. But otherwise I strongly recommend this set of pots!

a good pot i=even if the construction is a little flimsy. both the handle on the pot and the handle on the lid quickly became too hot to touch bare handed.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It's a little tricky to install but not difficult. Only down fall is my opinion on this is that for what it is it's kinda expensive.

The steamer I have is aluminum, an when I go my induction stove, I needed to use an induction plate adaptor for heat. So I saw this option, with the double boiler, and figued why not. I tell you the double boiler has been a fun option for everyone espcially when making treayt that need a bit of chocolate for dipping.Easy to clean, and has a great heat dispursment and a pretty decent price.Stacks really well and uses so little space for storage.

When we opened the box ,the saucepan lid fell onto the floor and immediately shattered..I suppose we can try one of our existing metal lids . Just so you know .Kevin Dyer

These pots are okay. They spot really easily. There are no cooking instructions on what order to use the pots, or how long to cook for. They tell you to hold the handles together when picking it up, but for smaller hands this is not possible. This is not really what I was hoping for. It sure took a long time for them to ship the pots. All the handles and the lid knob get too hot so you need pot holders or oven mitts. Actually not a very good product in the long run. Not worth buying.
