I got the 2 inch wide hook and loop (H&L) strap because I’ve found that the usual 1/2 inch H&L straps designed and sold for binding electrical cords don't work well for heavy duty cords like those found on some tools. This wider strap works much better on stiffer power cords. This particular product seems to have very good hold. One side (not sure if it’s the hook or loop side) is very soft, almost fluffy. The other side feels like the typical plastic hooks? or loops – not sure which. I like that I didn’t have to melt the end after I cut it to the length I wanted. I needed sharp scissors but the cut end didn’t fray. About my only issue is that I expect to use this mainly for binding heavy tool power cords. That’s going to be a dirty job and this strap is WHITE. I don’t think it will take long for this to become gray, but I think that's my fault for choosing a product of this color. Regardless, this does its job very well. The wide strap gives more support and the H&L hold really well. Good product.
