Perfect, exactly what I wanted & better quality than I expected for the low price I paid! I highly recommend these spoons!I ordered this set of 12 spoons for their simplicity, flat bottom stand alone design, elegant white glazed bone china style, and for the killer price. These spoons are similar to the plastic or melamine spoons you commonly see provided when ordering soups at many Asian style restaurants & fast food establishments. The one difference is that these are a bit nicer, being rendered in a fine glazed ceramic bone china material.Glazed ceramics are supposed to be healthier to eat off of than plastic or melamine & will last indefinitely so long as they are handled with care.These spoons are similar to ones I'm accustomed to seeing in Asian style food establishments. This being said, for those unfamiliar or new to this style of Asian soup spoon, these are rather small & short handled than typical western style soup spoons, so be sure to pay attention to the size of each spoon as advertised. A careful review of the listing on Amazon will inform you of each spoon's overall dimensions.My order arrived in less than 24 hours on my front doormat. Upon opening the large padded envelope, I opened the enclosed box, which held an inner box containing the well packed spoons, stacked with thin foam between each & rubber banded together to limit movement. All 12 spoons arrived in perfect condition, each one looking perfect, fully glazed with zero imperfections & no sharp edges.I inspected each one after reading reviews people had written saying they had received imperfect or very low quality spoons & that buyers should take care & watch out for sharp edges. Let me re-emphasize: my order had none of these issues. Each & every one of my 12 spoons was absolutely perfect, well crafted & blemish free. No pock marks in the glaze, no deformations in the overall shape, perfect holes in each handle & no sharp edges anywhere on any spoon.For these reasons, I can confidently recommend that you order this set of flat bottomed AsÃan soup spoons, you won't be disappointed!I chose to review this order because I am very happy with the spoons I purchased. These arrived safely because they were nicely packed up in foam and wrapped up in a tight box. It looks and feels good quality. Perfect size for Chinese soup bowls which are traditionally smaller than American ones.Typically Chinese soup spoons come with short thick handles and a wide flat base for the spoon to sit nicely in the bowl of on the table. The wide base gives a good distribution of soup and the high edges helps keep the liquids from spilling over. They're also really great for storing stacked!I have small hands tho, even for an asian, so keep that in mind when looking at the photos I posted. If you have generally larger hands, this may not be a comfortable choice for you.

I bought these to supplement a set I bought several years ago and have discovered pieces missing. Original item was discontinued.While not a perfect match they seemed the closet despite having a larger overall design. I was worried I wasn't going to like them as well. Silly unjustified fear, I in fact, think they're basically perfect.Solid ceramic feel, consistent glaze, making them far more durable.They are comfortable to hold and allow you to eat a bite without the same risk of spillage.I wish they offered them in multiple colors, but white is a classic that will always compliment the rest of the dishes, even the leftover containers, so we're happy.

I have a tremor that’s getting worse as I age. Embarrassing to eat out as my food spills and most restaurants no longer provide spoons anymore!These Chinese-type spoon helps me eat much more civilized! I carry one with me all the time, and use them at home as well.I could have bought plastic disposable spoons but don’t like the plastic ocean! These spoons are so reusable, wash well in the dishwasher, and priced right that if one breaks no big deal!

I love these spoons! These are the greatest for ramen, hot and sour soup and even clam chowder. They hold a generous portion and are ergonomically friendly. Easy to clean in the dishwasher, very sturdy and stackable in the cupboard. They are great for everyday use and fancy enough for special occasions. Again, I love these spoons.

After a month of using these spoons, I have adjusted to the smaller size than the melamine in exchange for spoons that don't absorb colors from my food. I didn't like that the melamine spoons took colors from the spices in my food. These bone white spoons have stayed white despite regular exposure to strong chiles, curries, and spices like turmeric. At first, I was afraid they would be too fragile to withstand the not-so-gentle daily activity of my kitchen and household, but they still look new.While my melamine spoons were 1/9 cup each, these are more like 1/12, so I've had to make adjustments when I use these soup spoons for measuring spices on the fly. Their flat base and small size works better for a family member with physical difficulties, so I've come to accept the smaller size.

These porcelain soup spoons hold a lot of soup. They rest easy in a shallow soup bowl. There is a hole in each handle to hang them up with. They wash really easy as they are shiny. I really enjoy using them for soups, chili, and stews, ice cream, or potato or macaroni salads.

There is more than I actuablly needed. But that is ok. I will use them with a big party. They are a nice size and sit flat on your counter with the food in them. They are NOT tippy.

They look pretty good, I'm surprised by the overall quality. 12 is a bit much, so I gave some of it to friends.They look delicate, not sure if it's a pro or a con. I'd say it wouldn't be ideal for children, but for adults I think it makes the spoons look more refined. (My point is : not sure they would resist falling on the floor, for exemple.)
