I use this to wear out my 100lbs Doberman every night. when he sees this come out he gets SOO excited. It is perfect. Very good quality, we only buy two a year (because he destroys it over time). I wish the handle would be a bit more palm fitting, but I am not complaining.

I have used other lunging whips but they are too flimsy and hard to encourage and apply pressure to my horse as the whip was too thin. However, this has a nice sturdy handle, a golf club like grip on the handle so it doesn't slip out of my hand, very sturdy pole with the whip part on the end that is easy to flick. It has small leather ends on it as well. I find it easier to use than the super long whips so I can control the amount of pressure I can apply. Won't break easily either. It's my favorite.

This product is almost double the other carrot sticks out there but the quality is worth it! Feel like a golf club in my hand the stick is a bit longer than most carrot sticks and the string is about two feel longer than stick. If I need to reach out and touch a horse this will sure help! Love it! ðŸ˜

Downunder is a FANTASTIC teaching method where you not only teach your horse to listen and work hard, but you develop a connection; a relationship where you ENJOY one another’s company. And this is a tool often used to help on that journey. It is only an extension of your arm. It allows you to safely reach a horse who’s not minding personal space. It can be used as a lunge whip too but, don’t whip a horse, or anyone with this! It can do serious damage if used hard enough. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who’s looking to train your horse, especially in Liberty. But I would watch how Mr. Anderson uses it first.

The Downunder Horsemanship Handy Stick and Aussie String are exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend this handy stick to anyone looking for a high quality, long lasting, and effective training tool! The weight of it is just right, and I love that you can take the aussie string off for different uses. It also has a very nice hand grip on it for a firm grip. This is overall a great product, and with the handy stick you will have an extension from your arm to keep you a safe distance away from your horse while working on the ground.
