The way the tanks are in my RV I'm going to have to get an extra cable so that I can read the gauge, but it works very nicely.

I read the reviews and should have listened. Mine has a slow leak. I tested it on 2 new tanks and 2 older tanks. The only way to use this product is to attach it for a quick reading and then detach it so the leaks do not become a hazard. If you get a 2 pack, use the same gauge each time you check because the measurements are inconsistent between gauges. So, it's just good for a getting a general idea where your tank level is at.Best option is to either get a better (and more expensive) gauge or just weigh the tank. A 20 lb propane tank that is full weighs 37 lbs. From there do the math. Less expensive in the long run just to put a bathroom scale in my RV.

According to the guage it was half full. One hour into a cook i ran out of propane. Save your money.
