This vacuum-free feeding is closest to breastfeeding and Dr. Brown’s® Medium Flow Nipples provide a consistent flow so baby can feed at their own pace. The breast-like nipple shape encourages a proper latch for a more natural bottle feeding experience and eases the transition from breast to bottle and back again. The Level 2 Nipple and Anti-Colic vent system is proven to help preserve bottle milk nutrients and aid in digestion for a better night’s sleep. Made of super-soft, 100% silicone, the Level 2 Nipple fits all Dr. Brown’s® narrow bottles. The suggested age range for the Level 2 Nipple is 3 months+, but baby’s preferred flow rate may vary. We had to buy these for our newborn since the number 1 was too fast and made her choke on her milk. We switched to these and it helped her so much since the flow is slower. I highly recommend if your newborn is having trouble with the number 1 flow. Great quality and for the bottles perfectly and did not leak on sides.

I started using Dr Browns bc that's what they used in the NICU and we never had any issues. The numbers on the nipples themselves make it easy to know what flow your baby will get and they are really sturdy without being overly thick. I'm a fan.

I noticed with the level one nipples my newborn kept gulping, spilling milk out of her milk, and coughing at times from going too fast at drinking. She also breast feeds at time from me and would get frustrated because the milk wasn’t coming out fast enough. Her pediatrician and others online swore by using a slow pacing nipple/preemie nipple. After using just once, there is less spillage, less gulping, and she seems more comfortable and satisfied after drinking. It does take a little longer to feed her but it makes it so much more worth it knowing that she’s comfortable and drinking well. I would highly recommend!
