I have shoulder-length hair that's very thin but very dense/I have a ton of it. So I normally shed a lot of hairs throughout the day and into the shower. And there ends up being MUCH more in the shower on days I wear my hair up and the hairs aren't allowed to escape all around the house. This catcher works very well to snag all that, and doesn't clog up super easily when it's covered in hair. Best hair catcher I've found! And I now have a little routine to clean it out that's super easy every day.MY ROUTINE:1. Before turning on the shower, remove the catcher and empty the DRY hair out over the trash can.2. Replace the catcher over the drain.3. Turn on the water; take your shower/bath.4. After showering, leave the catcher in place and the hair there to dry until the next day when you're back at step 1! I find the hair is much easier to remove when dry. (It annoyingly sticks to your hand or the silicone when wet.)And I sometimes go a few days without emptying it (because I'm lazy, whoops) and it doesn't slow down drainage too badly.MULTIPLE USERS:It's just me so leaving it to dry until the next day works wonders. However, if you have multiple people taking a shower in the morning, for example, I think you could get away with everyone leaving it in place and the first person empties it the next day (as long as they're okay touching everyone else's hair, of course). There's never a big issue with drainage unless I leave it for, say, a full week. And for me, that's a LOT of hair clogging it up by then. So I think if you had even 4 or 5 people all using it in a single day and waiting to clear it out once the next day, it would be fine. YMMV.MENSTRUAL CUP USERS:I would advise taking the catcher out to clean it (Step 1) but NOT replacing it just yet (Step 2). Instead, put it somewhere handy like on the edge of the tub or a shelf in the shower stall. Turn on the water and get in the shower as normal to empty your cup first thing. THEN replace the catcher (Step 2) and take the rest of your shower. This just makes it a bit easier than trying to remove the catcher after you take the cup out and you have your hands full. ;) (And of course lets you more cleanly empty your cup directly into the drain.)

This is just what I needed to avoid a clogged drain. It looks nice and is easy to remove to clean. Simple and easy solution to prevent hair from going down the drain!

I have one of those old tubs that lost its built-in drain plug a long time ago. So, I really need something that will cover the drain and keep hair from clogging things up. I had purchased a thingamabob with silicone prongs that fit inside the drain, and it worked really well until after a few years of use some of the prongs fell off and it needed replacement. I checked Amazon and this particular model seemed to fit the bill, plus it had a very good price. It does work. It fits right over the entire drain opening, and will work the same if a tub still has the built-in stopper that's permanently installed in the drain. That's not a factor for me, but probably is for most people. The silicone ring keeps it from sliding around and letting hair get through, however, the design doesn't drain all that quickly and water pools around it in the shower more than my other one did. Not badly enough to clog up the water so it backs up into the whole tub, but it's worth mentioning. The big problem (well, not really all that big, more annoying than anything) is that the hair winds itself around the silicone ring and it's very hard to pull it off. You can't really see the strands, so you have to kind of pluck around the entire ring to find all the hair it's caught. A couple of times, the ring came loose from the metal center and I had to get it back on, a little difficult when everything's wet and slippery. Might be an advantage, though, if you want to remove the ring to let both parts dry completely. It's worth the price, which is pretty low, and if you tend to shed a lot (!) this, or something like it, is essential, unless you own stock in Liquid Plumber.

I have gone through so many hair stoppers trying to find one that actually works and doesn't get ruined right away. This is the one. It doesn't let hair down the drain and doesn't get warped like the plastic cheap ones. It's easy to get the hair off too. This is a great product.

We needed something to fill the shower drain after our original screen broke. This is an ideal fix. It's easy to use, has a perfect size, and is simple to clean. I also like that it has a weightiness to it so it won't suddenly become buoyant in deeper water. Perfect for making sure water goes through, but everything else doesn't. Just an excellent solution overall. Definitely recommended.

Our drains are always getting clogged with hair and I’ve tried many different styles over the years and these are the best we’ve tried. They catch at least 3 times more hair than the others we’ve used.Water doesn’t stay in bathtub like some others, all the water drains due to the locations of the holes, which was a factor I looked at when purchasing these. I have them in 2 bathrooms and my standup shower. And so far are working great. I got the medium size and fits over all my drains just fine. They would fit in a sink as well at this size although would be large, it would work but the smaller size would be better for sinks. The build quality is good and solid and looks nice as well. The design is well thought out compared to others. I would get these again if need be.

It did the job! It fit perfectly over the drain and catches hair with no issues! The weighted drain catcher doesn't move when the water is on. Best drain catcher I've used!

This catches all of the hair in our shower. It works exactly as it states and fits over the drain.

My tub drain is different compared to most I've seen it's high and wide with a piece in the middle that you pop to open and close the drain. This tall cover fits over the middle piece. However I had to remove the chrome popper drain cover for this to work. ( even though the description made me believe it would fit over the cover)It keeps the hair out of the drain. I ordered blue but received grey that's doesn't really matter to me.A little expensive but it works as I wanted so I feel it was worth the money.

Works well for old awkward drains. I've tried a bunch of different things to collect hair in the shower and this is the first one that actually works well. Easy to clean and doesn't move around. Looks good!
