By far the best way to to restring the hood drawstring of a hooded sweatshirt; it works really slick. However, don't follow the instructions. The best way to do this is to is to run the guide through the drawstring channel first and then attach the drawstring and pull it through. Much easier doing it that way. I highly recommend.

I bought this kit to replace the frayed drawstrings on my joggers. Cord quality is good - color is true. Plastic thread rod was easy and held the replacement drawstring firmly while threading through.Good product, good purchase.

I bought a lovely used reversible jacket missing the hood and waist ties. I found this product very clever and the needle and new tie fit well through the channel for the tie. However both end of the channel on my hood and waist area had small rivets on either end. It was nearly impossible to get the needle with the new tie into the channel and pulling it out the other side pulled off the rivets. There is not easy way to replace these rivets without taking the jacket apart. The ties have very sturdy metal ends and getting them through the eye of the needle is a chore. I used a needle set of needle nosed plyers to hold the opening a little wider while I threaded it. I'm going to try fray check on the exposed holes that lost their rivets.

The drawstrings are exactly what I needed but the threader is useless. The holes for the aglets are way too small and the plastic too stiff. This tool will be useful for something but not this time.

Really appreciate how quick this came and how simple it was to use to fix an older hoodie and pair of sweat pants that were sagging. The actual draw strings with end caps were better quality than I was expecting.

Perfect!! Exactly what I needed!So....I have read some reviews that the tool is too small for the ends to fit through....easy fix......a flathead screwdriver or butter knife...insert...twist GENTLY just to open up the holes...... and BINGO! Now you can thread the ends through the guide!Worked perfectly for me! Enjoy!!!

I added to all my legging cause the were rolling on me. They are great length , enough stretch but not to much soft and comfortable. Haven't used the tool easy enough to just push through on their own.
