For 32 years in business I have never had to deal to fake money until last month so I am no expert. I do have the pens but keep hearing 50/50 about them so I went for a backup. I am not certain what the point is, perhaps it is because I am no expert in fake money detecting. While it does show colors for the vertical strips, you can also see the strip if you hold the bills up to the light. Apparently, they cannot fake that. I guess time will tell which is better.

I am a Front End Manager at a large grocery chain. I carry this flashlight daily for detecting the UV strips in bills and UV holograms on ID's. Works great.

Easy to use, and a low initial investment which will pay for itself upon discovery of first fake bill...hopeful that one hasn't gotten by me yet. Also seems to really effective for ID's.However I am beginning to suspect that the batteries must be fresh to get the best results.
