I don’t like any kind of blinds in the kitchen. Always get so yucky from cooking especially since I have a small galley kitchen. My window is on the small size so this valance worked well, covers a good portion of the window. I have cabinets on both sides of the window so I used a shower rod to hang it so I can move it to make it higher or lower.I did end up removing the liner attached to the curtain for light purposes.

I rarely write product reviews but this valance was just so beautiful andnicely made I wanted to give them a nice review. The fabric is beautiful and not flimsy and cheap looking like I expected. I just redid my kitchen and wasn't quite sure what I wanted to replace my old valance. I needed something longer and wanted the longer one that you could puff up with straps but they didn't have the color I wanted. The 18inch one turned out to be perfect. I fully expected to have to return this but it's so beautiful and perfect for my new black and white kitchen. I bought two panels but am returning one because the fabric is so nice and thick one is all I needed.

I felt I was taking a chance on these reasonable priced valances. i have an 8-foot-wide window. I ordered 3 as they are about 50" each. They are perfect. The material is quality, they are lined, easy to hang and look nice. They grey is neutral enough to reflect the blues I was looking for cut couldn't find. I would recommend.
