This review is for a M5 x .8 Spiral Point Tap. The description states: "They are recommended for use in through or blind holes which allow for chip accumulation in the bottom of the hole. Ideal for threading a wide variety of ductile materials...". I have found that for blind holes in 2020 aluminum extrusion the chips get stuck in the spiral point. They don't really move up the flutes or stay ahead of the tap, and so don't get evacuated from the hole/cutting area. For a 16mm-20mm blind hole, the tap has to be removed at least once and the chips manually cleared. I would recommend a spiral flute tap instead for that specific case.That said, the taps performed fine otherwise. The threads cut feel tight with little wiggling. None of the taps have broken/snapped. For the price, these seem great.

Needed this to install a box in my F-150 and choose to buy this online. The cheapest I found was here over Home Depot and Lowes.Worked great and easy. Made the perfect tread. Worth the wait ( prime)

Was previously using a Harbor freight set of cheap Chinese taps that kept Dulling and becoming mishaped with every hole I tapped. This tap held up and is still holding up after after around 15 separate taps in light gauge steel

This tap broke off inside the hole I was tapping. I had a good drill hole and was trying to thread. It caused me many hours of frustration and ruined my project. Beware of quality.
