A little paint in the threads had one of them stuck. Used a screw driver in the hole to torque it loose.

I had some concern after reading a review and decided I'd add some blue loctite thread sealant ot help make sure the shackle doesnt loosen. After untightening it, I have no idea how it would have fallen off the person's vehicle. It was difficult to remove, and had to use a wrench to loosen.I used a adjustable wrench and a towel over the flat part at the end of the screw to get it to tighen enough to prevent the shackle from swinging around freely, but not so tight you can't adjust the shackles position up and down.I ended up using blue loctite because I would probably never want these to come off, and if I do need to remove, I dont mind using a bit of force, but I must stress if you tighen, and use the little spacers etc, you PROBABLY dont need it.Shackles look good and should be plenty strong to help tow and recovery operations on my bronco.

These are really sturdy! Nice in color, great price, thick, little heavy, easy to install, fits well! And matches my jeep 😇
