I needed a new pin cushion. My dog (who is on prednisone for a medical condition and who thus eats all sorts of things she shouldn't) got ahold of my last one. (Don't worry, she didn't eat any pins! But she did eat the strawberry part and do some other damage. It is over a year later and she is fine!)I like the classic tomato pin cushions so I bought this one. I wanted one that was on the larger side and this had the diameter I was looking for. I put about 150 pins in it last night and there is plenty of room for more.It is basically well made, with no loose threads or anything. No parts look like they are going to become detached. If you are obsessive about symmetry, though, this may bother you. The six sections around the sides of mine were not the same size because the green dividers were not evenly spaced. They didn't match up with the indentations in the star-shaped piece of green fabric on top as in the product image. Since this is a functional object and not decorative, I'm not going to get bent out of shape about it.

I guess they don’t make things like they used to. I’ve been trying to find a large tomato pin cushion like I had 20 years ago and this is the closest I could find. Just very cheaply made - loose strings, feels and sounds like it’s stuffed with plastic bags, but it’s ok.

The classic tomato/strawberry-shaped pin cushion. Other than size, pretty much identical to the one my mother had for decades.I bought it for storing the pins I get from store-bought clothes, so this review is from your average guy and not a quilter or tailor.Since this is bigger than the classic size, it'll hold a ton more pins and/or needles. Assuming I don't lose it, I'll wager this'll be the last pin cushion I'll ever need to buy. And because of this foreseen longevity, I bumped the rating from a 4 to a 5.The design is simple and has been tested by time. You really can't go wrong.

I feel cheated. I didn’t get an big apple but what looked like a small strawberry. And it’s not the size that was promised. As u can see by the picture enclosed 1.5 inches. Very disappointed 😔. Can’t return it as well.

Large and sturdy. Very pleased. Ordered a second tomato, liked the first one so much. Keeping one on my pinning table and second one at machine so I can insert the pins as I'm pulling them out of my sewing. And then switch. Great delivery times and well packaged.

This is the way pin cushions used to be..large enough to hold a large quantity of pins and hard enough to keep the pins in without having trouble removing them!
