I have a standard ironing board upon which was stretched a better than average ironing board cover (with included padding, non-removable). The type of cotton material on the cover is essential for my high temperature ironing; mostly pants. The trouble with that cover is that I had to apply pressure near the narrow end for cargo pants pockets and that flattened that area down to paper thin thickness. Result of that? The pattern of the ironing board metal was ending up on my clothing. I stopped immediately and threw a white cotton towel down so that I could finish my ironing.Then I looked around for a replacement ironing pad. This Dritz Ironing pad is made of a heavy density fiber, is rectangular and was 6" longer than my board. I was able to customize it for my board by cutting it 1" larger than the surface of the board on the sides and the narrow end; the wide end doesn't get used, so an extra inch there wouldn't matter. I was just able to wrestle my existing cover over this pad, holding the padding down at the narrow end to keep it in place and working my way to the other end.Wow, is it great! I hope it lasts for at least 3 years and I may be back to update if needed.

This pad is nice and thick and will protect your metal ironing board from getting moisture down through the layers and rusting the metal. It was the right size for our board, and we simply turned the board over, laid it on the pad, marked it with a pen and cut the pad out. Nice material at a very reasonable cost. We recommend it.The new ironing boards tend to be made with a wire mesh or flimsy metal, so it's good to save the old board by sanding it down thoroughly and repainting it with Rust-O-Leum paint, then replacing that worn out pad that leaked onto the metal with this nice new thick pad. Stick with the old ironing boards, the new ones are junk.

Best ironing board cover ever. Works great with my tfal iron that has a trigger Steam trigger. You can get the tfal iron on Amazon. The velcro belt on the front underneath is too short but not needed anyway. Ironing is much easier on this slippery surface.

The cover is durable and gives a great smooth surface for ironing. I like the reflective nature of the product. We have a standard size ironing board from Walmart, and this cover is a perfect fit--but barely!The bungee cords underneath help hold it in place, but due to the folding mechanism on the ironing board, only one of the two bungees can be fastened...the other would get in the way and have to be undone every time you unfold or fold the board.Overall we are satisfied with the cover and its durability. It gets almost daily usage for several months and still is not showing any wear and tear.

Great product! I desperately needed a new ironing pad as my old one was disintegrating & as a result, ironing was leaving marks on my clothes from the metal ironing board. This pad is thick and plush, exactly what I needed. As other reviewers have stated, it's easy to cut it to your ironing board shape. I just put my ironing board upside down on the pad, drew around with a Sharpie, and then cut the pad easily with regular household scissors.

Bought a new ironing board which I like. The cover is well made, but came with a flimsy pad that was not effective. Many of the covers come with an attached pad which would make it easier to replace. So was tough to find just the pad. I'm familiar with Dritz brand as I sew. This is a very plush pad and I would call it heavy duty. It is a cut to fit size so you will need to cut it down to fit your board. Since it was thicker than the former pad, the original ironing board cover did not fit as snug around the board. I got 4 of those stretchy clip things that you attach to the cover. Worked like a charm.

This cover is a very snug fit so it was a bit of a struggle to install (it does not fit a wider ironing board, only the long ones, so be sure to measure well). The trick it to work the pointed end on first and pull as much fabric toward the other end as as possible, which will probably take you a couple of tries. There are two Velcro straps underneath - one in front and one across the middle - that hold the cover in place (most other covers do not have this feature, and it definitely keeps it nice and smooth). The only problem is that when closing up the ironing board for storage, the middle strap has to be undone to allow for the slide mechanism to work.The padding is a perfect thickness. I don't like a thickly padded cover because the items being ironed sink down into it instead of staying flat and smooth on top. I've been using this cover about six months now and it seems to be wearing well. I iron a lot of table linens and heavy fabrics at high heat, which cause wear on most covers. A very good product for the price.

La calidad de la tela es muy buena, tiene buen grosor, en general el material se siente de buena calidad, sin embargo el tamaño no es el adecuado para el tamaño de burro tradicional, está muy grande.
