I bought this item to review on my channel, and fell in love with it. I'm a fabric-gridder, which can be hard or tedious to do with dark fabric. I bought this because I wanted to make sure it would be suitable to use with dyed fabric in particular, when you might be worried about excessive colour bleed from trying to scrub lines out of the fabric. I tested this with red fabric for optimal bleed potential. It marks with bold, opaque lines, making it lovely to work with. But most importantly, it also comes up very easily. I did not even need to submerge the piece fully in water to lift the pencil marks. A damp paper towel and a little bit of tapping and blotting brought the pencil up without causing the red dye in the fabric to run. Finding ways to grid on dark or dyed fabric without having to use filament or floss to do so has been a dream come true.

purchased this hoping to mark up black denim before working with it. This pencil was extremely light and it was difficult to see where the marks were. I was hoping the lines would be more visible while I was working with it, then be washed out later.

I am not sure what fabric this is suposed to work on, but it does not work on 100% cotton! I bought it to use for reverse the die patterns and to mark center points for Iron-on patterns, but it does not mark anything at all.

Maybe I should give it five stars, because what I was using it for may not be what it’s intended for. I wanted to use it on vinyl faux leather. Didn’t work for a second.

The product should allow you to draw lines on cloth to easily mark up fold lines, darts, etc. However pencil composite is so hard that you have to go over lines again and again just to make a somewhat visible marking. I would not purchase this product again for sewing.

I do some sewing and like the white pencil for marking fabric and crafts especially since I used this type of pencil as a girl in 4-H. I use the pencil for a number of other craft projects and have even used it for a few school projects where my daughter has used the dark colored poster board. It looks nice. I consider this type of pencil a staple item for my sewing supplies; this pencil was a replacement to one that was completely used.

Basically an expensive colouring pencil. Does not write nicely on fabric unless freshly sharpened, the quality is that of a crayola colouring pencil, save your money and buy a $2 box of crayol pencils. I ended up having to go and buy a different fabric pencil elsewhere for only $3 and put this with my daughters coloured pencils.
