Replaced a 10 year old contactor/solenoid on 48v. Lasted 2 miles, overheated died. Batteries are LiFePo4.

Bought a 48v electric buggy solenoid. Lasted 3 days. Had electronic driver current control, different to old one, which was coil only.Lithium batteries were fully charged, 53.5V.Advertised as heavy duty No.1 accessory, 48V continuous.Motor controller showed excessive driver current, measurement shows electronic current control failure.Ordered a new one, as we need the buggy for bee management. There was no warning that it can’t handle lithium battery supply voltage. Very disappointing
