Did not come with assembly instructions. Had to figure out how to take off plastic cover over hydraulic spindle before lever could engage to raise or lower the seat. Other than that, it is a well made heavy duty throne. Would definitely recommend it.

This throne offers excellent comfort and stability, making it a great addition to any drummer's setup. The adjustable height and hydraulic mechanism allow for easy customization to find the perfect playing position. The padded seat provides ample support for extended practice or performance sessions. The throne's design features stable double-braced legs with larger anti-slip feet, ensuring it stays firmly in place even during vigorous drumming.However, I do think the price point is higher than some other similar drum thrones on the market. While the quality and features are commendable, a more competitive price would make it a more attractive option for budget-conscious musicians.

Sturdy looking & poorly engineered. As another buyer noted, one has to insert a penny (poor Abe) under the lever slot, to properly engage the piston lock. As I just received today, can't expound on longevity, but can guess. I rarely use, so probably not a major issue. If the company had an ounce of pride in their product, they would have a sticky on the box with the penny directions.

Looks like the price for this gas lift Tentoten Drum Throne was too good to be true. In a word …. cheaply made junk, poorly manufactured hardware and barely lasted two months.After only two months of steady gigs, the bottom sliding leg adjustment screw mechanism stripped out (granted not a show stopper).However, after last night’s show, the seat lever that controls the gas lift mechanism and permits the raising and lowering of the seat, completely separated and fell on the floor.I have had no luck trying to reach the seller or manufacturer through Amazon's automated system. The return period is thirty days. Ordered on Jun 29, 2024 and lever fell off at the end of August 2024; barely two months old.I tried fixing and reinserting the lever, and even tried inserting some rubber shims to hold the lever in place; no help there. The stool is pretty useless as is, even with the gaffer tape shown in the photo; and I’m past the period of return.Save your dough and buy something with quality hardware that won’t strip out and fall apart. On the plus side the seat is comfortable.I’m a multi-instrumentalist that needs to be able to quickly shorten the seat height and tuck the stool under the keyboard and get it out of the way so I can stand up and play another instrument.I bought this because of the inexpensive price and positive reviews. My guess is most of those reviews were written when the stool arrived. I wonder how these folks would review this item after a few months of steady gigs.

I like this stool. I'm a midweight guy and it supports me well. It did not come assembled although putting it together was very easy. I was using a basic drum throne before this which is similar to this one, but does not have hydraulic adjustment. I'm not much of a drummer, this sits in front of my electric kit that I use for recording, but it works really well for me without taking up much space. It wobbles a little bit, but I don't notice it while I'm playing.

This is a decent adjustable drum stool. It arrived in a sturdy cardboard box and I had it put together in about 2 minutes. The seat has thick padding and is comfortable. As others have noted, the seat height adjustment sticks a bit on going up. The stool legs are very sturdy and have large rubber anti-slip feet.I had one minor issue with the base because the bottom bracket was a bit twisted and I had to bend it a little to get it back to the correct position so that the legs could be extended properly. Not a deal breaker for me. I think it could have happened during transport, since there's no packaging inside the box the stool parts were probably getting bounced around during shippiing.

I had to use the penny trick to get the chair to work. Sometimes with these chairs, the lever can’t quite push the air cylinder deep enough and thus the seat won't work. I took the chair apart to see how to fix it. A quick fix is to add a penny or two between the lever and the orange button to make up the difference in length. I ran into this issue with my chair but after applying the pennies it worked perfectly. This seems to be a problem with other reviewers.Apart from that small hitch, the chair is sturdy and built well, it's comfortable for longer playing sessions. The chair stays in place and doesn’t tip over easily.I think in this price bracket there are better options.
