The throne is sturdy soft no sore butt with this unit. During long sessions during summer you might have to sit on some fabric because this fabric doesn’t breath that’s my only gripe about this chair. Love the four leg design seems plenty strong. Very satisfied with this unit so far. It’s worth the extra money,it does not feel cheap or tipsy it’s solid. I can recommend it highly.

I bought this for my nephew to go with his new drum set and it works perfectly for him. The seat is soft and I love how it adjusts for him. It seems rather sturdy he's tiny but his older brother and father both used the stool with ease.

Loved the comfortable cushion and hydraulic height adjustment. Have four legs rather than three makes a big difference. After twice having tip overs, and other near misses, the was an important safety feature. No instructions were provided for set up, but there wasn't a lot to do. The cardboard cover over the center post has a confusing note on it - obviously non-English speaking comment on it. This needs to be taken off before attaching the seat. It is rather heavy but that's part of the stability.

This is a very good throne, you will never want to go back to the old three legged no back support stool, it is soft and sturdy, you can lean back and relax between songs. It only costs a little more to go first class.

Shoddy and unsafe craftsmenship. Wood screws used into flimsly wood product when should have used bolts into metal seat. Husband (weighs 185) fell backwards off of it the first time used. Fortunately he wasn't seriously hurt. This is second review citing the same issue. Wish I would have paid attention to the prior review.

Comfortable!!! Super sturdy for a big guy. Beats the saddle style DW and RnS that I’ve previously used.
