I was looking for a new dry lube for my mountain bike chain and I came across this product. I normally use the Muc-Off dry lube, so I was keen to see how well the Gear Hugger would do. To my surprise, it seemed to work quite well at keeping the drivetrain nice and quiet while picking up minimal amounts of dirt/muck. I would say its performance is on par with the Muc-Off lube, while claiming to be more eco-friendly. I will keep experimenting with different dry lubes, but for now, I'm quite happy with this one.

I had high hopes for this given the reviews.At first the smell is is moderated with a minty herbal oil that's added. Unfortunately, within a few minutes to an hour this quickly wears away and reveals the incredibly fishy smell from the oil.This smell tends to last for a couple weeks, which makes getting on my bike and riding it really unenjoyable.I always try to use less eco harmful products, But this one's definitely a challengeUnfortunately

**Edit - After about a week or so this dried to a nice, low tack consistency! So far so good, I re-apply about biweekly with 3-4 day a week riding schedule**So this isn't a 'dry' lube in the sense I'm used to. After 24 hours at 50F it's still behaving like a very light oil. The dry lubes I've seen are usually waxes dissolved in a solvent. After application the solvent evaporates and you're left with a dry, flaky, waxy coating.BUT, I like it, and rated it to reflect that, despite being a sort of wet-dry hyrbide. I'm running it on a KMC TiN chain and a SRAM Rival 1X setup on a sort of cross/gravel/go anywhere commuter bike.- Application was very easy. The viscosity is just right (on the low side) without being too watery (like some other dry lubes). The ability of the lube to wet the metal parts is excellent- it sucks itself into the gaps between the chain plates.- I ended up applying it to a few other spots on my bike, including the clipless petal spring mechanism, and on some fasteners that needed a little corrosion protection (e.g. steel fasteners touching uncoated aluminum)Much less messy than the wet lube I was using before. I'll try to remember to update after a few weeks of use.

Mine arrived with the cap missing and degreaser leaking onto the other items in my shipment. Fortunately they were all covered in plastic and unaffected. Without the cap, this means I can't take this on the road with me unless I want degreaser all over my bike bag. Since I have to leave it at home in my garage, its usability is greatly diminished.Based on other similar reviews, this is an obvious defect that needs to be addressed.

Works really well on my bike chain. The only thing is that I have to use it consistently as I ride a lot.
