Overall, I like this kit because the nylon rods are thicker and made better than some of the cheaper kits, which I bought and ended up sending back before trying this one. I also wanted a 6" brush, which none of the other kits offered. The locking mechanism is convenient, but be warned that a couple of locks didn't stay locked, so I needed to tape them before sticking them in my furnace/hvac supply vents...you DO NOT want this to come apart in your vent, so make sure to test each connection each to ensure they are secure and tape together for extra security. I would have given this 5 stars, but the carrying case for this is poorly designed. They used an oversized lawn chair type bag, which is twice as long as the rods, then stuff the brush and accessories in the end of it, then folded it over and zip tied it together. This deformed the 6" in brush pretty badly because it was squished into the bag. It's not a deal breaker, and hopefully the brush will go back to it's original shape over time, but for the price of this kit they should have designed a proper bag to hold everything. I've already trashed the cheap bag and will stored this in a properly sized box.

FIRST: 3 STARS. The connector head for the very first piece I used twisted off with less than 30 seconds of use. I only use one length at a time so im thankful it wasnt in a v de ry long stove pipe or dryer exhaust vent - pronlematic to get out.I have a short 5' stove pipe from my wood stove into and up three feet into my masonry chimney. I have an extra stove pipe as well. Every other day I take the dirty stove pipe out and replace it with clean one. Then I "sweep" the dirty one. After replacing broken drive rod I put another one and cleaned the stove pipe. It works okay. Will see how it stands up to being used every other day.If you have a masonry chimney, this would be of little use as the large brush is only 6". My masonry chimney is way too big for this so if you're planning on cleaning a masonry chimney - find something else. If you have a 5" stove pipe it will probably work well if the bristles dont bend with use as most do. I'd recommend using each length one at a time to make sure neither end will fall off before you start pushing up your pipe!

Very easy to use and flexible. I literally did my 6 inch wood stove pipe and switched to the dryer vent brush in minutes.

Over all it does a good job of cleaning the chimney flute.I had to buy a second set to reach farther. One set did break but they promptly sent a new set.Not a paid review, just an honest product user.

This product did not work well for me. I’m not sure if I was doing it wrong or it just is not a good product.

Product was working great until the fifth vent. During insertion and rotation the six inch brush, along with the adjacent rod section, became detached from the remaining sections and became lodged within heating duct. DO NOT recommend this product.

Nice to have a proper description! The larger brush is exactly what you need for cleaning out your stove pipe! The system is also better than the screw on system. If you accidentally screw the wrong way, it won’t unscrew inside your pipe! Imagine trying to get that out! Somebody was thinking! Also great to have the tools supplied for the drill!

This is not Suitable to do much, luckily I could get it out when the rod snapped in my chimney…. there was no pressure on the rod and there was very little flex in the rod when it snapped. Don’t know if it was a defect in the rods or not. Hopefully the manufacturer will give me new rods.
