Why am I giving a five-star rating to this? Because the value for the money is there a lot of people stated they didn't get the metal bar I did but it comes out immediately very flimsy. The solution? Super glue any will do. Just pull the metal bar out of the slot fill the slot up with super glue along the length as thin or as thick as you want, thin line preferably, put the bar back in and let it set for at least 24 hours.Amazon does sell one that is made in the USA for about $6 steel bar on both sides good quality but you have to hunt for it and unfortunately it is not in stock and I need one as soon as possible which is why I bought this.Unfortunately you have to modify this to make it work but in my humble opinion still worth the money for somebody who's going to use this occasionally like me.

I'm an occasional drywaller, mostly patching my house or my daughter's houses. This mud tray is just right for me. It is light, sturdy enough, fits my 12" taping knife, and works as a substitute for a hawk. And is strong enough for me to mix mud in.

Product is cheap plastic hence why it’s so cheap, but it’s missing the metal edge it advertises. You can still scape on other edges so buy if you want a cheap trough.

I totally understood what I was buying. A cheap plastic pan for a small job. The issue I have is the metal piece didn’t come on the pan. That piece is kind of crucial to wiping off the knife being used. So, I’m just gonna say be weary when buying.

but it works great for the length of a project. When all used up and done with the remodeling, just toss it and buy a new affordable one again next time.

I think this serves the purpose for a light or one time job because it is so inexpensive but is definitely not a tray you want to wash and put up for next time.

These are just what I needed. I fastened one on each of my ladders. These trays gave me the extra space for the tools and parts that I use. They worked great and a lot cheaper that stainless steel mud pans.

I own metal pans, 8/10/12/14 inch . I love this pan cause its my junk pan. its malleable, you can hand mix in it, its super light and flexible. Its actually the pan i reach for more than my metal pans. Its a good mixing and throw away pan.

Excellent for what we needed it for. I'm not a professional drywaller but definitely didn't need something super high in but from what I can tell this is a good product and good quality.

Works fine, a little small (that's what I ordered), did the job and not something I expect to need again anytime soon so happy to find a decent cheap alternative to a pro-quality tray.
