This is just the right tool for removing and replacing the heating element in my RV. It also is just right tool for changing out the anode/drain plug. It makes either job much easier and since it is small and light it fits well in my storage box.

I like that it has two different sizes on each end. It did what I needed it to do and it didn’t cost much.

I used this on my Richmond water heater to help remove the anode rod and the heating elements. It will be a fight to get that old anode rod out, but that’s not this tools fault, and it held up to the task. Be prepared for some struggles if this your first time replacing the rod!The heating elements are much easier to remove and replace, and this socket/wrench makes it a breeze. Put the correct end on the large nut of the element, put a screwdriver or other stiff piece of metal small enough to pass through the holes, give it some force, and just like that you’ll be ready to put the new one in.I do wish it was a bit thicker metal, but to get into the spot where the anode is hidden, it can’t be much thicker so maybe that’s on purpose. I would’ve also like to see an option or attachment to use an impact driver, as that would allow pretty much anyone to get that stubborn anode out with ease. Other than that, this thing works great!I also just ended up using it to tighten the nut on a very hard to reach faucet mount, which are a standardized size, so if you’re in a pinch like I was, maybe give this thing a try!

Regular socket wouldn't work due to how thin the nut on Suburban water heater electric elements are. This works as advertised and is lightweight enough to keep in the RV.

Fit nice for my RV hot water heater anode.

Element in the hot water heater went out and this tool was needed to remove and replace the new element. I don't think I would have been able to fix my water heater without it.

I was concerned that this one was a cheap flimsy tool but found out it is a heavy duty well made tool. Highly recommend it for Suburban water heaters for RVs.

Had to bend the flats slightly to get it to go over the element. Correct size, just made poorly. Did the job, but was a one time use. Element was excessively tight, had a screwdriver through the holes and a wrench around the other end to get it to budge. Tool distorted and twisted...May be OK if the Element isn't frozen in place.
