I'm not a contractor, nor do I have a professional or well equipped garage work area. I'm just a homeowner who has an occasional need for a vice clamp such as this one.I will say that I do feel very professional having this clamped on the edge of my work top though.I can't say how this would hold up or suffice for a professional who uses it everyday, but this thing is hefty, solid, super handy and far sufficient for my needs. The little plastic protectors they provide to slip onto the underside of the table clamp, and on both sides of the vice itself are very nice to have. The pieces on the vice protect from scratches, though when I used it for holding a metal curtain rod in place, they tended to be a little slick. I stuck a piece of silicone on both sides and that provided both protection and grip. The pieces stay in place when being used, but they fall off easily if bumped when not in use.I've been keeping my vice clamped to the table so that plastic piece stays in place. I also keep the vice closed when not in use, and the plastic pieces aren't able to be knocked off that way either. Not much else to say other than I'm more than happy with this.

This vice is fine as a “third hand†for holding lightweight hobby and craft work. It’s not large enough, heavy enough or stable enough for mechanical work.

Used today first time. This little vice holds parts firmly and is perfect for smaller projects. 2 thumbs up!

Didnt have too much hope but its surprisingly study. I used it to crimp open some tough objects and therefore hammered very hard on the handle. It left very minimal dent on the handle and the crimp worked solid.

Pretty heavy duty vice. I needed a vice to hold my golf clubs while I put on new grips. This worked perfectly. Very easy to use but minimal capabilities. For the price, it was worth it.

Item came damaged the screw on mound had to holes for two screws but the item itself had no threads for the screws to grab to and worry way too large for the screws provided.. therefore I was not able to use the screw on lock on portion of the item which is what made it an extra $15.. once I realized it was broken I then mounted it using the other method directly to the workbench. It works great there was just a manufacturer defect I could have sent it back but I had intended on mounting it with the screws and bolts anyway at some point.

This thing is stronger than I thought it would be. Easy to use anywhere really. Great for small projects

Clamps to bench easily and securely. I especially like the quick release for jaws which makes adjusting them quickly.

The vice allows for a variety of different orientations and mounting scenarios. It really suits medium to light duty jobs. I wouldn’t say it heavy duty.

Smaller than I thought, but good for my needs.Has the ability to install it in a table with clamp or fixed in a table - extra points. Not for professional usage at all, but still very good for small and home projects.
