Used this 100 micron filter to salvage honey extracted from the brood boxes. Worked great and held up. Was able to salvage about 25 pounds of otherwise unusable honey. Pollen and bee poop will pass through a 200 mesh strainer but the 100 mesh will filter it out. Heating the honey a little (120F - my oven temp when not on) really speeds up the filtering process. Basic construction and look is exactly the same as what you get from bee keeping supply however none of the bee keeping supply houses sell anything finer than 200 mesh.

I am a white water rafter and believe in pack it in pack it out, leave no trace camping and rafting. That includes food particles that attract ants. The dish washing water needs to be strained before dumping in the river and this is perfect for doing that.I wish I had bought the 200 micron filter as this one strains a little slow (does a better job than necessary).I bought 3 and gave 2 away to some rafting/camping buddies.Great product, great value.Scott

The plastic is not very sturdy on the rim. With a bit of coaxing I make it work. 1/2 the price of most glaze filters.

seemed kinda flimsy and not going to last... not true.I have a new septic/cesspool. I read how micro pollution from fibers hurts our oceans.even if not true, it is also linked to drain field issues so I want to keep my system troublefree.oddly it catches a lot of sand and not so much fibers. I don't even know where the sand is coming from!but, it's catching it. I glued this into a 5gallon pail with holes in the bottom.this gives it time for water to filter and if it spills over it's into the sink.so far, I have to wipe it down every other load.and 50% of that is lint... 50% of a grit like sand material??

Flimsy item. They need to quadruple the thickness of the plastic which surrounds the screen. Not very durable. The only good thing is that it is light weight.

Works great in my aqarium sump. I run a 200 micron and a 100 micron the Take the abuse and are easier to clean.
