Firstly, I like the size of it. You look at the pictures and assume itΓ’β¬β’s bigger than it is, but it actually fits right in your hand.Secondly, I like how simple the assembly was. Literally just have to screw in the fan blades and youΓ’β¬β’re good to go. I also like that it charges with USB-C, so charging it is fast. Mine came almost fully charged already. The speed of the air it blows is good and even though it makes very little noise, I like that too because it helps me sleep. The lights are plenty bright; no real need for a separate lantern if youΓ’β¬β’re hanging this from a tent. Cap it off that the remote can control all of the fan speeds and light settings, and you can charge a device from it, and this is a very handy, very useful little portable fan.

Where was this before? It works well and is so perfect for camping

Other than the remote control, which is flaky at best, this fan works. The remote should easily hit the downward-protruding sensor for it, but it takes several tries to make it through. Due to the large amount of torque the fan makes, I had to add a bamboo stick to the top and tie it onto the tent to keep the fan body from spinning several dozen times on the string. I hope to have it for many years.

Update: Following my initial review, The company promptly reached out and sent me a new fan. I donΓ’β¬β’t know if this fan is more durable, but the remote works. Very responsive- thank you. Increase from 2 to 3 starsThis fell off the table one time and now the fan no longer works. since this was the primary purpose in making the purchase, I threw it out. Also, from the outset, the remote only worked very sporadically, and only for the light.I think that for something that one would bring camping, it should be more durable.

I've used a few camping fans in the past and this one has blown me away. The battery life, air circulation and overall lack of noise have been wonderful! The fan mount comfortably inside the tent and keeps things from getting stuffy and hot. It comes with a remote that was easy for the kids to control and detachable fan blades for easy storage. A few weeks ago we had our power knocked out for three days from the hurricane and this fan was a lifesaver on those stuffy nights with no AC! Overall, I have been really pleased with this fan.

They came in fine, looked and turned on great, so I plugged them in to charge overnight. The next day I used them on the lowest setting for 10 minutes and they died. I decided that maybe they had just come unplugged during the night, so I charged them overnight again, and the same thing happened. I plugged it in to charge while I was at an event, and after about an hour I went to see if it charged, and they were HOT to the touch. When I unplugged the cord I realized they had actually melted near the charging port and smelled like smoke. They no longer turned on, and were immediately thrown away.I purchased two, and both did the same thing. Save your money.

I wasn't expecting much. But it's really a decent fan. I wanted one that didn't have anything protecting the fan. We may use this with yarn to keep flies off our food. But as a fan it works decently if you're directly under it, like say.. in a small tent. I was worried if it fell it would injure someone so I ran it at full speed and stuck my hand in the blades. I will say it stung a bit, but the motor stopped. Didn't try to keep spinning.I noticed when I first ran it it wobbled a bit. The blades are slightly out of balance. Understandable in a mass produced product. I balanced it with some masking tape. Just add or remove tape until it smooths out or gets worse. It is now very smooth and even a bit quieter. The remote. It works. But! Theres a little infra red receiver nub on the bottom. You HAVE to point the remote at it. If the remote is on the other side. It won't pick up the signal. The settings can be a bit confusing. The 4 lights are for the battery level. There are only 3 speeds to the fan. ON is low. Then you can increase 2 more speeds. Or decrease again, to get the lowest, click the ON again on the remote. Same with the light.I don't know about battery longevity. I think it would be great if there was a battery door and you could just swap out an 18650 cell.If you balance the blades and know where the remote receiver is, it's a great fan for the price.
