As a dedicated guitarist, I'm always on the lookout for high-quality guitar picks that offer superior grip and control. These picks have become an indispensable part of my playing arsenal, offering unparalleled performance and reliability. One of the standout features of these picks is their exceptional grip. The textured surface provides an excellent hold, ensuring that the pick stays firmly in place, even during intense playing sessions. This level of control has greatly enhanced my precision and accuracy, allowing me to execute complex techniques with ease. It offers just the right amount of give, enabling a comfortable playing experience while maintaining excellent responsiveness. Whether I'm strumming chords or shredding intricate solos, these picks deliver a consistent and articulate tone that enhances the overall sound of my guitar.Lastly, the JIM DUNLOP 417R.96 Grip picks are versatile, suitable for various playing styles and genres. I used to use the super heavy version of these for years, and I always loved them. Since then, I've been bouncing around between a few others, going from Jazz III, to Big Stubby, back to the classic Fender Heavy, and back to what I used to use but a bit lighter with these. The .96mm ones are the perfect compromise - they're thick with a bit of flex and the coating makes them easy to hang onto. They do seem to grind down with time, and they start to lose their edge a bit faster than other picks I've used, but it's a pretty minor complaint.Overall, these are great picks at a fairly reasonable price.

These look and feel great. I'm impressed by the consistent quality, feel and performance over the years. These are the same as they were 25 years ago when I started using them.Solid go-to.

After getting tired of glossy picks, I stumbled upon these, and they’re great. Comfortable to hold, premium looking and feeling.

I bought these picks because they sound great and are a great price. I have the 2.0s also, and love them. Let me say up front that the non-shiny surface of these is no substitute for holding your pick correctly. It isn't rocket science any more than learning how to play a chord without the strings buzzing. I used to drop my pick all the time until I took lessons with a jazzer who taught me this: Wedge the pick into the crease of the first knuckle in your index finger, and hold the pick in place with your thumb at a near 90 degree angle. Since I learned this, I have not dropped my pick once! Unfortunately, I still haven't mastered the art of not losing my picks. Hence, 72 packs of these! The 1.5s look greyish black like the 2.0s when you buy them, but under the powdery finish (which quickly disappears after a few uses) they are a nice green color. Both thicknesses feel and play well. Best of all, these sound so good! I just took a workshop from a famous guitarist who was in town from France, and he was using this same pick. The rounded edges are great for strumming rhythm (holding it the same way I described) and the pointy side for playing single notes. I can't stress strongly enough to hold the pick correctly. If you're going to go through all the trouble to buy a guitar and learn how to play it, for goodness sake learn this super easy skill. Best wishes!

Excellent Dunlop Gator Grip, Red, .58mm, 12/Player's Pack: Spouse loves these pics for their dark beefy sound and smooth attack - just as advertised. Last a long time, too. Tis our 2nd purchase.
